The Founder
Natalie Irby is an award-winning filmmaker and the Founder & CEO of Corner to Corner Productions. Originally from Mississippi, she came out to Los Angeles for what was to be a two-month visit and simply never left.
She shot, edited, produced, and co-directed the web series Millennial Parents, which was featured in USA Today and The Huffington Post and was lauded as one of the “10 Best Web Series” by LA Weekly. She co-produced Paulie Go!, a coming-of-age comedy featured in the NYT’s “What to Watch” list and the Audience Award runner-up at Minneapolis/St. Paul Film Festival. She is an Associate Producer of the feature documentary Landfill Harmonic which screened at 140 festivals worldwide and received numerous awards, including the 24 Beats Per Second Audience Award at SXSW, the World Cinema Audience Award at the AFI Film Festival, and the Humanities Prize.
She is the Executive Producer of Celebrating Storytellers, a docuseries featured in The New York Times that highlights cultural revitalization and creative economy throughout her home state of Mississippi. Within Celebrating Storytellers, eight documentaries and over one hundred photo stories were produced in thirteen small towns across the state of MS. She is an Executive Producer and the Lead Editor of the feature documentary Mighty Ground, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival, received multiple award nominations, and won the Documentary Feature Audience Award at the Calgary Film Festival. While garnering festival acclaim, the film screened across the U.S. as part of a benefit tour with HomeAid. She is the Executive Producer of Will to Change, an award-winning documentary feature that is now being screened in correctional institutions throughout Mississippi as part of MDOC’s re-entry program. She is the Co-Producer of D-Love, a 10x Best Narrative Feature winner; her original song, “Take My Hand,” debuted on the soundtrack.
She is the President of Creative Mississippi, an organization serving as an umbrella to produce stories of creativity and resilience in the rural South. She serves on the advisory board of the Mississippi Free Press and formerly served on the Hollywood Film Festival board of directors.
She has a limited television series in development and is co-writing a narrative feature inspired by true events. In addition to her feature work, she has written, directed, and produced numerous award-winning short films, original scenes for actors, and music videos for independent artists.
Passionate about community and civic issues, Natalie was recently elected to the city government as a representative on the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council. She’s also the Administrator and CTO of LUNA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. After having completed extensive training as an End-of-Life Doula, she will begin offering her services in 2026.
She is a logophile, a Reiki practitioner, an American history enthusiast, a musician, a certified Victim Offender Dialogue facilitator, a vinyl record collector, and a fine art lover. She founded Corner to Corner as a home for independent content to be fostered and celebrated.
